Tel Aviv is waking up. 5:30 AM. I didn't expect to be up so early, but it felt as if someone had shook up my shoulder and whispered in my ear: "It's time to wake up."
I stepped outside my door to the roof of my cute adorable apartment in Villa Vilina and sat down to watch the sunrise and the waking up city.
The sound of birds and buses, chilled air. I know it so well from 28 years of living here, growing up here, being so familiar with the smell of the ocean. My city.
Now I'm a tourist here and I must admit that it's a great city to visit. All the cafes, the night life, the beach, and of course - the astonishing weather of 22 degrees in the middle of February. Only 4.5 hours of flight and you get the best break from the European weather. I'm having a ball. The sun makes me so happy. I can read the news papers, I can speak Hebrew and I can witness the development of one of the greatesr and coolest cities in the world.
It is full of young people, young vibes, fashion, art and wondering cats.
And it's true that the place is missing peace. The middle east is wildly in an ongoing chaos. But it's home and it will always be home and I love it. Here are some photos from my first few days:
The roof top. The tall building are in front of the beach
Old contrast new. Very typical.
It's name is Benji and it is proud...
